Clarissa Dallas

Apostle 

Apostle Clarissa Dallas is the co-founder of True Gospel Tabernacle Church which was organized and incorporated in April of 1973 with her husband, the late Pastor Larry Dallas.Apostle Clarissa has been an integral part of True Gospel Tabernacle Church since its inception, organizing music ministry and Christian Education Ministry.  Along with her pastoral duties, she fully performed responsibilities as; official board co-chairperson, trustee, finance committee chairperson, Sunday School Superintendent, Christian Education Directress, Children's Ministry Teacher, Choir Directress and praise and worship leader along with many other responsibilities. Apostle Clarissa received her formal Christian education with Detroit Bible College (William Tyndale Bible College) and also is a certified instructor with the Evangelical Teacher Association. Apostle Clarissa became the Sr. Pastor of True Gospel Tabernacle Church in 2001 after the home going of Pastor Larry. The multiplicity of ministry responsibilities enabled her to completely accomplish this step in ministry.Apostle Clarissa has conducted spiritual life conferences, seminars, workshops and revivals in churches throughout America and Europe. In 2008, Apostle Clarissa accepted her call into the apostolic ministry and provides covering and mentorship for pastors throughout the city of Detroit.   Her wealth of knowledge, experience, biblical practicality and effectiveness in communicating the will of God makes her a viable source to establish kingdom order and provide direction for progressive ministry. Apostle Clarissa is the mother or four children, all of whom work along side her in ministry, ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Roderick Dallas

Senior Pastor

Pastor Roderick Dallas is the son of the church founders, Pastors Larry & Clarissa Dallas and currently serves in the capacity of Sr. Pastor. Pastor Rod was named as the successor of the ministry by his father and was strategically placed in assignments that would prepare him to carry out the work of the pastoral ministry. Committed to the local church, Pastor Rod served as: Youth Minister, Worship Leader and Minister of Music for 20 years. He also functioned as an Associate Minister and Assistant Pastor for 7 years and has been serving in the capacity of Senior Pastor since 2008. Pastor Rod is a bi-vocational leader, with proven leadership ability, clear communication skills and obediently adheres to God's call on his life. His love of teaching and simplistic approach to the gospel makes it easy for everyone to understand the word of God and enables them to walk out the principles. Pastor Rod holds an AS in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.  His love of life is found in his home that he shares with his wife L'aShawn and  two daughters: Ayanna and Alyssa.  One of his favorite quotes is, "Family is God's idea."

L'aShawn Dallas

Pastor

Pastor L’aShawn Dallas is the wife to Pastor Roderick Dallas and  the mother of two daughters: Ayanna and Alyssa.  She was raised in the city of Detroit and educated in the Detroit Public School system. She holds a B.A in Human Resource Management and an M.A in Business Management.   Pastor L’aShawn Dallas was called into the ministry over 20 years ago under the care of Pastors Larry and Clarissa Dallas of True Gospel Tabernacle Church.  Since 2009, she has been instrumental in the local church serving in many diverse capacities including Youth Advisor, Sunday School Teacher, Hospitality Department and Pastoral Care Ministry.  Presently Pastor L'aShawn Co-pastors alongside her husband Pastor Roderick Dallas and serves as Director of True Gospel Tabernacle's Women's Ministry "Women of Excellence". Pastor L'aShawn was strategically and divinely placed in assignments that prepared her for the work of the pastoral ministry.  Each assignment methodically enhanced her ministry gift and makes her a viable source to establish kingdom order and provide direction for progressive ministry.  It is her endeavor to see women in all phases of life; saved, healed, delivered and whole and walking in total victory. Pastor L’aShawn's personal mission statement is: “Through every situation that we experience, there is a lesson to be learned; therefore, learn the lesson”.
